VAC WORK

Applications close on 15 March each year.

During our “vac work” programme, our students are rotated between different departments and assigned to shadow a candidate attorney in that department.

Students will be given a moot topic (which will be something relevent and possibly something that Venns Attorneys have recently dealt with). They will then be divided into two teams and towards the end of the programme they will present their case to the Moot Court, and thereafter Judgment will be given.

This is a wonderful opportunity for students to learn about civil procedure and substantive law. Students will have many exciting opportunities to go to the High Court and the Magistrates’ Court.

We have an open-door policy at Venns – you are welcome to speak to any of the attorneys to obtain assistance from them during the programme.

How do you apply?

Tell us a little about yourself – the more information you can give us about what you’re up to and what you’re passionate about, the easier we’ll be able to determine if you have what it takes. When sending your details to us, be sure to send us, at the very least, the following documents:

  • a succinct letter of motivation as to why you would like to join Venns
  • A comprehensive CV showing your experience to date
  • all your academic transcripts
  • a copy of your ID document or equivalent
  • at least two contactable references

You can also drop off this documentation at:
